What's better then spending a Saturday morning playing at the park? Nothing if you are 4 years old...or 29 with a camera (ok, I'm not really 29 anymore but who's counting!) I haven't seen Catherine, Chris and the kids in almost a year. Little M has grown so much and it was such a pleasure to get to shoot this family for a second time.

Story Time

As much as I love shooting children (that always sounds horribly wrong to me) I sometimes struggle to capture my own children. When I take the camera out they are either running in the other direction or sticking their tongue out at me. So when moments like this one come along I like to quietly sneak away, grab the camera and grab the shot before anyone notices.

Babies

Maybe I spoke too soon. I do love maternity shoots. They bring me back to a time in my life when everything was simple. My house was clean...well cleaner, my car was clean... it was also brand new and my husband and I had all the time in the world for each other. Sometimes, when shooting maternity, I am a little nostalgic for those days. Not to say that I would go back...I never would. I love my life, my children and even my dirty car. Although date nights are harder to come by I now cherish every little moment that my husband and I share. What I am trying to say is that I love babies. I love photographing their little fingers and toes, their quirky smiles and their innocent eyes. If there is one thing that I have learned since becoming a Mom it is that time flies. I love knowing that I am capturing a moment in a babies life that Moms and Dads can look back on. Those moments disappear way too fast. Here are some of the precious children that I had the priviledge to shoot over the last few months.

I have to admit, I love photographing all of life's event but I think maternity shoots are my favorite. I love the excitement, the love and the anticipation.

Hello at last

It's been a long time! Since going back to work full time I have to admit I've been neglecting my blog. So today is the day that I do some catching up. Kids are napping, husband is watching the World Cup so I have a few minutes to myself...I think!!!
