Family Session

A few from last weekends cold and windy family session. Luckily we found a little area that was somewhat sheltered from the wind. The families were real troopers!

Jacki & Brydon

Last Saturday one of the sweetest couples ever were married and I am so happy that they asked me to be there. Thank you so much Jacki and Brydon for making me a part of your special day. I hope you are having a great time on your honeymoon!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

We celebrated two birthdays this weekend. My son turned three and my daughter one. Growing up my mom always made us our favorite cake for our birthday and it always made me feel so special. I wanted to start the same tradition with my kids this year. Here's the result.

This year we learned that Peyton really does not like the Happy Birthday song. He screamed the whole time we sang. To make matters worse he had to endure it a second time as we sang for his sister.

Tutu

As soon as I found out I was having a girl I knew that I would one day be taking pictures of her in a tutu. I was out shopping with my mom a few weeks ago when we found this one in a little store, I had to have it.

Last Christmas my now almost 3 year old son received a Fisher Price camera from friends of ours. He loves running around the house snapping pictures and is always amazed by the images he captures. Here are a few of his creations!

I had so much fun tonight with J&B shooting my first ever e-session. I couldn't wait to get some of these pictures up for them to see. I'm sure I will regret staying up this late in the morning but it was worth it.

SpRIng hAs sPruNG

It's been such a beautiful week I am so excited to finally be able to get the kids outside for hours at a time. I spent a little time at the park yesterday with the kids and their cousins.

Playing with Black and White

I've never been a big fan of black and white photos, actually I should say my black and white photos. They've always looked muddy and gray to me. So I've been playing with black and white conversion trying to figure out how to get better contrast in my pictures. I went to see a friend of mine on tuesday and of course had my camera with me. Her little girl put on quite the show and here are some of the shots, in black and white.

Digital Basics

I started my first photography course, digital basics, about a month ago and it has been incredible. I've certainly learned a lot and can't wait to sign up for another. Here are a few shots taken for some of our assignments over the last month.
